MY POINT OF VIEW>
Six of the best.
Excruciating pain, no adolescent should go through.
Here is my story.
My first experience was when I was about thirteen years old. Brother Lawrence, the Headmaster called me into his office…open the cupboard and asked me to choose the canes that were hanging inside…six canes of varying circumferences – from the thickest to the thinnest. I chose the thinnest…..hands on the table and bent forward…buttock out Whack…whack…whack…whack….whack…whack.
I didn’t cry… held on till I reached home…I went into my room and cried silently….uncontrollably..the excruciating pain. Dinner time, I felt feverish and fearing that my father might find out, I sat down as naturally as possible, …. and give another round of spanking for disgracing the family. The pain from sitting down was twice as excruciating as the caning….I slept on my belly….the pain lasted a week.
The second caning was when I was fifteen years old. Brother Felix Donohue, the new Headmaster called me into his office….this time I chose the thickest (friends told me that the thinnest is the most painful, as it bite into the flesh). Whack….Whack…Whack…..tears pour out from my eyes…I was not afraid at all… cried because it was so excruciatingly painful…three more to go..finished it fast.
The whacking stopped….Bros. Felix open the cupboard, hung up the cane…poured a glass of water for me and asked me to sit down. “I preferred to be cane, Bros. Felix,” I said. …That was the last time Bros.Felix cane anybody as far as I could remember.
Corporal punishment of any sort should never be allowed and those advocates of canning are the people who had never been cane….IT IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE.

My History Teacher.
Mrs. Wong, my history teacher and the Form Mistress once said and I quote, “If you have nothing good to say, say nothing.”
Here is my story.
Her quote had a huge impact upon me and I have lived by that code ever sinced. I have never ever bad mouth anybody nor have I said or commented on anything unfavorably of anyone except only on my immediate family members.
If I have nothing good to say, I shall not say anything at all.
When I left school, Mrs. Wong handed me the testimonial and said, “I have nothing good to say about you and so I am leaving it blank for you to fill in yourself.” This was the most devastating statement of me and the most painful.
I filled in the blank myself with the best possible testimony as a teacher would of their best students…..stared at it impressed….crushed it up and threw it away along with the prospect of ever able to get a job. I have no regrets whatsoever…I can bluff the world but I cannot bluff myself.
Mrs. Wong, I may be your biggest disappointment but I believed that I have done you proud by living your code and stand by it as you have stood by.
Thank you very much Mrs. Wong from your favorite student and your biggest disappointment. Class of 1975 LSPJ.

Indlish.
Indlish.
Indish an English spoken or written by the Indian of the sub-continent.
Some of the funnier home-grown idiosyncrasy:
Pritam Singh has left for his heavenly above – a death notice.
Don’t do nuisance in public – government admonition against urinating in public.
Entry from the Backside only – a phrase commonly used in signpost to indicate the rear entrance of a building.
A government official urged farmer to grow “herbs in their backside” (backyards.)
In railway offices, a standard opening line in correspondence is “ Dear Sir, with reference to the above see my below.”
New recruit wrote an e-mail that began: “I am in well and hope you are also in the same well.”

I am broke.
I will be broke for the next seven years.
Here is my story.
My children, an ‘Irish Twins’, are pursuing a career in Medicine…..the toughest and most expensive discipline to have your hands wet on…me……..I have my whole body soaked to the skin.
It will be seven years of cuts (cigarettes..sob) ; marginizing (don’t waste water) ; economizing ( cheap sales only); fix it (broken-nail it, tape it, tie it) and patch it…there is a big hole on my favorite arm-chair and it cost $ 1,000 to re holster it….I shall be going to the hardware shop to get $ 2.50 worth of celluloid tapes to patch it.
Another four years, if my ‘Irish Twins’ decide to specialize in their respective fields.
There after, it will be my turn to study….I shall pursue law and I will be a straight ‘A’ student just like them. I shall be a brilliant lawyer ……making sense of law and knocking sense into law…..churning the commonsense in law.
This is what that will keep me going for the next eleven years.

No: 99,999,999th.
No: 99,999,999
My rating went up two notches to rank the No: 99,999,999th. busiest person on Earth.
Here is my story and the reasons:
One and half months ago, My Indonesian maid absconded, leaving my family and I in a total mess that took a few days to recover. For the first time in twenty-five years, we are without a maid and we went completely blank not knowing what to do? Where to start? How to start?
After recovering from the initial shock, we got down to organize ourselves, each contributing a part to the daily chores and so on and so forth.
My part includes the laundries, general house cleaning, preparing my ‘high-powered energy drink’, a bit of cooking, looking after the dogs and gardening (mowing the garden, gathering the grass and trimming the undergrowth).
The replacement maid will be arriving in two weeks time and I shall be happy to reclaim the title of being the No: 100,000,001 busiest person on Earth.
No: 100,000,001st.
No: 100,000,001
I lay claim to be the 100,000,001st. Busiest person on Earth over the period of twenty years.
Here is my Story.
My day routinely starts at 6am. when I send my children to school and college, the arduous journey negotiating the “mad morning rush” by a series of shortcuts through housing estates and by-roads inevitably leads to a traffic jam at the point of drops. I will reach home at around 7.45am.
After breakfast of a high-energy drink, I will go for my daily morning exercise that includes jungle trekking, brisk walking, jogging, resistance workout and yoga, in various combinations depending on the needs lasting one hour fifteen minutes.
On a alternate morning, I will go marketing with my wife and when my wife is at it, I shall catch up with the reading, paper works, making phone calls, receiving phones calls and going through the daily ‘must do, must meet, must solve, must scold, must attend’ lists.
Reaching the office at around 11am. doing all the things in the must-do lists and meeting with clients and suppliers and staffs; Giving instructions on the ‘do-it-now’ lists and going through the ‘in and out’ trays and the yesterday KIV.
Pop in and out on the net if I have the time.
Pick the children from school and college; send one for activity and one for co-curriculum. If no business luncheon, have a quick at home than off to meet problematic clients, chasing Bills Collectibles and establishing new business contacts.
Should be around 6pm. by now when we finally reach home. Replenishing with the high-energy concoctions, I will set out for the evening workout to de-stressed.
Depending on the day (night), the children might have tuitions or the piano classes and if not I shall be out by 8.30pm doing errands like shopping for sundries and personal hygiene products and so on. * Up to today, I still do not understand why the shopping lists never ends…night after nights, always something that need to be bought.
Meeting clients that I was not able to meet in the day that sometimes takes the whole night, reaching home usually after 11pm. Going through paperwork and documenting the daily schedules; blogging in the blogspot, updating the deviantART, going through e-mail and so on and so forth.
Reading and relaxing with three cans of ‘stout’ to call it a day at 1.30am.

Adopt a 'Stray'.
Adopt a “Stray”
The kindest deed anybody can do for man’s best friend is to spayed or neutered them.
Unwanted pups will grow up to be stray and like this mutt here, its days maybe numbered when the long arms of the authority catches him and place him into the animal shelter.
Statistically, the odds are stacked up against him and within two weeks when he is still not adopted, he will be terminated and sent to the local eatery to be served as food. Puppies stand a better chance of adoption, so do breed dog. Unfortunately, most unwanted dogs and puppies are mongrels. Puppies get the same treatment when the two weeks period is up and their meat is in demand as it is tenderer…..you can imagine the rest.
Cats too.
